Keith 'volunteered' to liaise with Mr Devlin so if you want to submit up to 4 photographs please copy them to a memory stick and either pass to Keith at the Smiths Arms (Friday 20th Aug.) or to Steve at Carlton Post Office by the same date.

We were pleased to welcome Allan McPhail who kindly brought some prints to view and was very helpful with tips & suggestions.

John did a presentation on Exposure, Aperture & Shutter Speed. This was followed by a general discussion on the subject.
Theme - Macro/Close Up. Again some very nice photographs displayed which stimulated some discussion.
Sid demonstrated some Photoshop basics including selection, levels and cloning.

Due to the cramped conditions in previous weeks it was felt we needed a larger venue and it was decided to start using the Women's Institute, Carlton
Unfortunately we couldn't get word out to everyone.
However we had a session on setting up the projector and basic editing which will be repeated at our next meeting if useful to those attending.

Evening Visit - Greatham Creek & Transporter Bridge. While we didn't see any seals some good images of wildlife and industrial landscapes were captured.

21st April 2009 Theme - Motion. Some very nice prints were displayed and comments made.
Digital Imaging - the first session covered computers, storage,file type/size and transferring images from a camera to a computer. Click here to download notes.
Camera Clinic - Gary led a discussion session on digital cameras.

Although very crowded the Family Portrait session went very well. Many thanks to our guest sitters who were very patient with us.
Interior photographs from our previous visit to St. Cuthbert's Church were displayed and constructive comments made.
In future sessions we intend to cover the process of editing images in computers and Sid gave a quick overview of some of the procedures.

Our visit to St. Cuthbert's Church, Redmarshall was a great success with hopefully many good photographs taken. We intend to view these at our next meeting. The church is a fantastic venue and we appreciate being allowed to visit the church.

All members displayed water theme photographs and constructive help was offered with camera set-up.
Desiree & Gary also displayed some of their prints and demonstrated how framing a print can make a tremendous difference.
Joe initiated a discussion on a possible 2010 Club Calendar.

John demonstrated our new website.
A good selection of prints on the transport theme were displayed.
While the water droplets was a failure we did get some good images of light streams using a torch.

A number of prints were displayed showing a good variety of subject and interpretation - some were lucky enough to go abroad for their subjects!
Dezzy also demonstrated how he used Photoshop to build up his layered landscape image using photographs of vegetables.
